We would like to take this opportunity to introduce your committee for the year 2016 :

We have an excellent mix of experience , enthusiasm and are all looking forward to some great events in 2016 and having a heap of fun .
It is our intention to schedule 10 club comps for the year on the year on the 3rd Saturday of each month unless there is a clash with another event ,
in this case as much notice as we can will be given .
Any updates and information will be posted on our website www.soullongboardclub.com.au also our Facebook page " SOUL Longboarders " and here on our Smartphone Team App .

The first few comps for the year are :
February Saturday 20 th
March Saturday 19th
April Saturday 16th
May Saturday 21st

Junior Involvement :
We will be running junior expression sessions for the February , March and April comps .
This is a great way of getting the younger juniors in the water having fun with parental assistance.This is not longboard specific .
Free snag and a can of drink for all registered participants on the day .The club is also introducing a special Junior ( under 18 ) only membership for children with non surfing parents.
A PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST BE PRESENT
Membership forms will be available at each comp day or by request .In April we will also be running a Junior Development / Coaching session for already developing young surfers in conjunction with Surf Sessions .

Victorian State Longboard Titles :
Round 1 : April 30th & May 1st
Round 2 : May 14th & 15th

Interstate Longboard Challenge (ILC) :
The annual Competition between SOUL and Maladjusted / Classic Lines clubs .
This year it’s our turn to travel to S.A to defend the Title we won last year . We require a minimum of 16 surfers , ideally 20 for this event .
It’s to be held on Saturday 12th of March .
We plan to travel over on the Friday , surf on Saturday and then head home at your Leisure .

ILC Fundraising BBQ :
We have got a spot for a BBQ at the Wellington Faggs Mitre 10 on Sunday Feb 7 . Funds raised will go towards subsidizing the fuel costs for those travelling to the ILC .

We would like to thank Nick Mc Ateer Surfboards for the generous donation of a double stringer , violin glassed log for our End of year members draw . Nick hopes to have the board ready to be displayed at our 1st comp in February . Every member goes into the draw .
